Last month, we completed our first quarter of the year. This is the time to review our goals and track our area of opportunities and successes. RRROCA membership is up 40%, representing 8% of the community. A fantastic percentage increase and the board has now moved the target up to 10% by year end. The new website (Phase one) was launched with excellent comments and viewership. Phase Two, the business directory is projected to launch in early May. The sports program registration was up more than 40% this year! Pam, the of Director of Sport/Events was able to obtain significant sponsorships this year and has prevented the program from running in the red! With the combination of sponsorships and increased memberships, we were able to commit to several events this year. We sponsored the Easter egg hunt, Family Day Event, Stampede Brk, Community Clean Up, Parade of Garage Sale, Park & Play for younger kids and for the first year in our community, a two week skate park (located at the Royal Oak School) for tweens/teens! Additionally, we are introducing “Movie in the Park” event in August and CPO music event in the Park.
We invite you and your kids to take advantage of all the upcoming events this summer and encourage all residents to become members to support the continuance of these programs for the community.
