Our family has lived without a vehicle in Calgary for the past 14 years. This is in spite of the city’s notorious urban sprawl, it’s sometimes long, bitter winters and the relentless societal pressure to own a vehicle. This at the risk of being dismissed as “radical environmentalists” or just plain crazy (we’ve been called both).
