Hey everyone, my name is Rhys and I have lived in Royal Oak for 3 years. The RRROCA is looking to establish a youth council to determine what our youths want from our community. The youth council will look to their peers to find out what activities they’re interested in and how we can make Royal Oak and Rocky Ridge a more youth friendly place to live.
At this point we are looking for your involvement and suggestions for activities/events that you would like to see happen in the community, an example could be Rocky Ridge VS Royal Oak soccer or baseball tournament or whatever crazy ideas you can come up with.
Some ideas that I have or that other communities have come up with are:
- Capture the flag
- Dodgeball tournament
- Karaoke
- Talent show
- A community dance
- Gaming tournaments
- Bake sale
- Community sports day (relays, etc.)
- Street hockey tournament (girls included!)
- Cook-off
