Herald Article: Tories Crafting policy for Urban oil well drilling, June 26th

Clarification on the Calgary Herald’s latest article:

Residents,

During the interview for this article, a discussion regarding important framework for a potential Urban drilling policy, such as minimum setbacks, what are appropriate areas for development (perhaps more industrial areas), municipal development policies and public input.   I was quoted as saying “ We’re not opposed to urban drilling”.  Please note this was taken out of context in the conversation.  Urban drilling is a broad term and will have to be debated and defined.

Residential drilling within cities is simply not acceptable.  This was an unfortunate misquote and I assure you, the pursuit of stopping the Kaiser oil well continues.
