Happy Groundhog Day! <\/p>\n

With days getting longer and temperatures slowly starting to rise, now is a great time to get outside to break up the winter blues and enjoy the season in Calgary.<\/p>\n

RRROCA is planning to host a winter festival before the end of March, thanks in part to the Warm Up to Winter Grant program from the City of Calgary. Keep an eye on our social media channels for more information. If you are interested in helping please contact events@rrroca.org<\/a> or volunteers@rrroca.org<\/a> <\/p>\n

Registration for the spring sports program recently opened for the U4-U12 soccer. For 2022, RRROCA will again be working with SoccerTech to provide this program for the community. You can find more information on the program on the RRROCA website with a link to the registration portal on the SoccerTech website.<\/p>\n

RRROCA is interested to hear from you about other potential programs you would like to see offered in the community. Please send your ideas to programs@rrroca.org<\/a><\/p>\n

We have heard from AGLC that our next casino date will likely be in the fall of 2022. If you are interested in volunteering to support this event, please contact volunteers@rrroca.org<\/a> and we will let you know once when we have exact dates. <\/p>\n

Whichever groundhog you believe, there appears to be lots of winter left with both ice surfaces at the RRROCA Park in full operation. We hope to see you at the Park!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s good to \u201cmeet\u201d you! My husband, daughter and I have lived in Rocky Ridge for about 6 years. I started volunteering with RRROCA in January of 2014 when I answered a call on Facebook for someone to pick up the Director of Sports position.\r\n\r\nMy team and I ran 2 successful (and fun!) seasons and I am sad to be leaving the position, but excited to take on a new challenge! It has been really great to see everyone venture outdoors with the arrival of warmer weather. I love to head out and explore our pathways, stop by the playgrounds, and watch the little ones play sports on the fields. There\u2019s just something about our communities in the summer time!\r\n\r\nDid you know that RRROCA has over 600 community members who volunteer with us each year? We really do everything from A to Z (AGM to Zumba, and everything in between). We can always use more help. Do you have an hour or two to spare? Or maybe 5 hours per month? We would love to have you!
