and<\/li>\n<li>Advertising must be submitted by the 15th of the month for publication in next month&#8217;s issue (please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suburbanjournals.ca\/advertise\/\">Suburban Journals website<\/a> for advertising inquiries).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Guidelines:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Articles should be:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under 500 words in length;<\/li>\n<li>Family-friendly;<\/li>\n<li>Non-partisan: no political messages;<\/li>\n<li>Non-fiction: no creative writing, short stories, or poetry;<\/li>\n<li>Free of grammar and spelling errors (as much as possible); If you\u2019d like to submit a piece for publication, whether it is a photo, article, or announcement, please read below for our submission guidelines. <strong>Deadline:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>The deadline is the 5<span style=\"font-size: 11.6667px;\">th<\/span>\u00a0of every month for next month\u2019s Reporter. \u00a0(i.e. March 5<span style=\"font-size: 11.6667px;\">th<\/span>, for April\u2019s newsletter). Please keep articles to around 300-400 words for maximum readability.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Articles:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Keep the focus positive and family-friendly.<\/li><li>Write about what directly affects residents of our two communities, without being political (the newsletter is strictly non-partisan).<\/li><li>One-time pieces are absolutely fine, but we will consider regular columns on pertinent subjects. If you have a good idea that you would like to have featured as a regular piece in the Reporter, please speak to the newsletter editor with your ideas.<\/li><li>No creative writing (short stories and poetry).<\/li><li>Articles may be edited for space and content as well as grammar.
